We invite you to read about the oils and butters and salts and other good stuff we use. Find out where they originate, what their properties are believed to be, and discover which products we use them in. Our soap is made using a lye/water solution mixed with vegetable source, food grade oils, butters and fats. these ingredients are mixed until a certain chemical reaction takes place called 'saponification'. After this point, the ingredients no longer exist in their original chemical form, they are now something completely different called soap! It's an intriguing process that still amazes me to this day. So on with the education process....
Holiday Note: We will be closed Thursday, August 19th through to Wednesday, August 25th. Please check back for further updates.
I understand we have some people a bit confused about who we are versus who we used to be....OK, so here it goes....We started our business in BC, and our company name was The Old Okanagan Soap Company. When we moved to Manitoba, we couldn't very well continue calling ourselves that as the name was quite local. So, by changing to Wild Wind Naturals, we are able to appeal to a much larger geographic. Please know that we still continue to use the Old Okanagan Soap Co. name, proudly, and reserve it for our well loved retail customers in the Okanagan. We are still Canadian made, still the same people, the same great product, just using (a couple of ) different names. If you ever have any questions, please call us and ask, we are more than happy to talk with you!
I'd like to say 'Thank You' to all of you who have welcomed us back home to Manitoba. Thank you, friends and family, for your support, thank you to new friends for being fab people, and a big THANKS to all of you who have supported our business and are purchasing our product. It is because of you that we have been so successful these last few months. If you treat people the way you'd like to be treated, Karma has a way of taking care of things. I enjoy the people more than anything, and knowing that someone out there is using the product makes me happy.
NEW PRODUCTS: Deodorant Sprays, Roll-Ons, and Sticks. Check out our Skeeternator Products (they work!!!) - we have sprays, candles and incense sticks. We're always adding new things, so check back often!
I have hand crafted these products with the intent to positively influence, in my own way, my environment, and the people around me. I try to pass along positive energy when I am creating, to be at peace and wish that for others. By using my products you will be able to de-stress, de-tox, re-balance, and be kind to yourself and the Earth. If using my soap makes you smile because it smells good to you, then my goal is accomplished.
On our site you will find many interesting all Natural products to chose from, along with Ingredient information and much more. Our products are made with Ingredients that are as natural as possible, as un-processed as they can be. Our belief is that the more natural the ingredient, the better it is for us. If you can't pronounce it and shouldn't put it in your body - you shouldn't put it on your body! We hope you enjoy your visit!
Summer Markets:
Saturdays: From 9 - 12 in the Towne Centre Parkade. Run by the Brandon Farmer's Market, you'll find just about everything here. Dates: June 26, July 3, July 17, July 31, and August 14th. We will possibly attend one more time before the season is out, please check back for scheduling.
Sundays: Ninette holds a wonderful little market from 11-2 near the lake at the fairgrounds. It is entirely possible you'll see us there a few times throughout the summer. Update: We attended this market on July 18th - what a treat! Lots of vacationers, great atmosphere, and plenty of vendors with great stuff including us (obviously), teas, veggies and more.
We may add some dates as we go along depending on the weather - if it's raining, the soap doesn't like it too much
Don't forget: in October, the Brandon Farmer's Market goes inside once again to the Towne Centre on Fridays....Watch for details later on!
